Food for thought

The article, Spare a little thought for food (November 25, 2002), was really thought-provoking. It was also an indicator of how much the people are being taken for a ride.

When there are many advertisements and awareness campaigns to educate the masses on such issues, it is really unfortunate that people are not paying enough attention to such important details as the date of manufacture, expiry date, etc.

It is time, as the writer had mentioned, that the Government took some concrete steps to ensure that the consumers are not cheated with out-dated products after all.
