The Hindu Business Line : All dressed up this year too but nowhere to go?

It's convocation time again at IIT Madras. But what a world of a difference. Last year, (see picture above) eWorld featured this young man (in the issue dated August 8, 2001) walking with a spring in his step and a smile that promised to go right round his face. And his eyes were full of dreams. A year later, and the change in mood is almost tangible (see picture below.) It's a sombre lot that's passing out. And the dreams of hopping onto the first flight to the US may remain just that, atleast while the technology meltdown lasts.
