Silk Air begins Kochi service

KOCHI, Oct. 31
SILK Air, the regional wing of Singapore Airlines, has started its operations from Kochi. The airline will operate two flights between Kochi and Singapore on Wednesdays and Sundays.
The frequency is likely to be increased to four flights a week from February 1 next year. Kochi is Silk Air's second destination in the country after Thiruvananthapuram, a press release issued here said.
The commencement of this service will provide the required regional connections to Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, the Philippines, Cambodia, Taiwan, Korea, China, Brunei, Japan, Vietnam, Australia, New Zealand, West of USA and several places in Europe using Singapore as the transit hub, the release added.
