Avoid last minute rush
The Reserve Bank of India has suggested that income-tax assessees should avoid last minute rush while remitting their I-T dues.
Every year, the RBI sees a heavy rush towards end of March. To avoid queues for long periods, assessees should remit their I-T dues in advance. The RBI, SBI branches, Indian Bank, Indian Overseas Bank and select branches of nationalised banks are authorised to accept the payment of I-T dues in cash or by cheque. - BL Research Bureau
