Industrial growth slumps to 2.6 pc in July
THE pronounced industrial slowdown engulfing the economy is showing few signs of let-up, with the official Index of Industrial Production (IIP) registering a measly 2.6 per cent year-on-year increase in July 2001, compared to five per cent in July 2000.
