Prices up at ICTA sale

BANGALORE, Sept. 6
COFFEE prices increased by Re 1 to Rs 3 for prime quality arabicas at Thursday's Indian Coffee Traders Association (ICTA) auctions. Domestic buyers were active, while exporters bought selectively. With the festival season coming, the domestic trade is ex
pected to continue buying.
Internationally, the bearish outlook continues. Arabicas fell sharply and them bounced back. Robustas at the London terminal fell in response to New York.
Prices were as follows: Arabica parchment PB sold for an average of Rs 54.98 per kg (Rs 54.04 last auctions); arabica parchment A Rs 55.30 (Rs 54.22); arabica parchment B Rs 41.92 (Rs 39.64); arabica parchment C Rs 37.50 (Rs 36.8); arabica parchment BBB
Rs 26.76 (Rs 26.72).
Arabica cherry PB Rs 33.50 (Rs 38.80); arabica cherry AB Rs 38.08 (Rs 39.60); arabica cherry C Rs 26.94 (Rs 26.90); arabica cherry BBB Rs 25.56 (Rs 23.40).
Robusta parchment PB Rs 26.58 (Rs 26.52); robusta parchment AB Rs 28.90 (Rs 29); robusta parchment C Rs 24.70 (Rs 24.72); robusta parchment BBB Rs 22.92 (Rs 21.84).
