Lufthansa to host on-line ticket auctions

NEW DELHI, Aug. 16
LUFTHANSA will host a day-long ticket auction on its Web site www.lufthansa-india.com on August 22 in the run-up to its Bangalore flight commencing September 1, an official statement issued by the airlines said here on Thursday.
There will be 36 tickets on auction from Bangalore to various destinations like Dallas, Frankfurt, London, Munich and Washington. The auction is slated to take place between 1000 hours and 1600 hours on August 22 and will offer seats not only in economy
class but also in business class.
To participate in the auction, the bidders must register online at www.lufthansa-india.com.
A similar auction will be organised on August 29 for corporate houses in southern India which would offer 18 tickets from Bangalore to destinations in Europe and the US, the statement said.
