Honour for CFRI

KOLKATA, Aug. 16
THE Central Fuel Research Institute (CFRI) has been awarded the prestigious CSIR Technology Award-2001 in engineering technology for developing ``a device for the recovery of the finest cleans from accumulated slurry at coal beneficiation plants and proc
ess thereof''.
According to a CFRI source, the award will be presented in September in New Delhi by the Union HRD and Science & Technology Minister, Dr Murli Monohar Joshi, to the inventors of the device, Dr Kalyan Sen, Director, and Dr D.K. Chakraborty, Scientist of t
he institute.
Last year, the CFRI also won the award for soft coke technology.
