110 cos to take part in garment fair

HYDERABAD: About 110 companies with internationally-known brands are expected to take part in the 3-day garment fair being organised in Hyderabad between August 17 and 19.

The fair will also feature a fashion show to be inaugurated by the State Chief Minister, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu, and the Union Minister for Textiles, Mr Kanshiram Rana, will also take part.

The event would provide the weavers in the State as well as the Andhra Pradesh Co-operative Organisation (APCO) international exposure, the State Minister for Major Industries, Mr K. Vidyadher Rao, told newspersons here.

The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), which is closely associated with the weavers, would play an important role in organising the fashion show, he said. -- Our Bureau
