NEW DELHI: The Finance Minister, Mr Yashwant Sinha, has said the Government was taking all measures to rein in fiscal deficit.

Maran seeks consensus to woo investors
THE Union Commerce and Industry Minister, Mr Murasoli Maran, told the Lok Sabha on Friday that unless ``we remove the old baggage of ideologies on our shoulders and change our mindset we will lose out to China'' in attracting foreign direct investment (F DI).

`Reform labour laws for FDI'
INDIA can attract foreign investments only when it reforms its labour laws and permits a hire-and-fire policy, according to Dr Charles W. Baird, Director of Smith Centre for Private Enterprise Studies, California State University.
