MTNL net up 2.24 pc

NEW DELHI, July 31
MAHANAGAR Telephone Nigam Ltd (MTNL) today announced a marginal 2.24 per cent increase in its net profit for the quarter ended June 30 at Rs 377.30 crore as against Rs 369.05 crore in the corresponding quarter.
The net income stood at Rs 1,495.3 crore (Rs 1,400.7 crore). The total income was Rs 1,547.42 crore (Rs 1,446.8 crore).
The earning per share has gone up to Rs 23.96 on an annualised basis during the quarter as compared to Rs 23.43 per share in the corresponding quarter.
