Agro Tech Foods Q1 net up
Our Bureau
HYDERABAD, July 31
AGRO Tech Foods Ltd has posted a turnover of Rs 196.1 crore and a net profit of Rs 1.1 crore during the first quarter of the current fiscal. The company's turnover has doubled but its profit has marginally increased when compared to the turnover of Rs 96
.3 crore and a profit of Rs 1 crore registered during the corresponding period in the previous year.
The significant increase in sales was stated to be on account of growth in company's commodity sourcing and distribution business which was largely dormant during the first quarter of the last fiscal.
As per the unaudited financial result, Agro Tech has incurred an expenditure of Rs 192.5 crore and provided Rs 3.3 crore towards depreciation and plant licence fee during the period under consideration.
