Agri Intex 2001 begins
COIMBATORE: Agri Intex 2001, a week-long agricultural exhibition, jointly organised by the Coimbatore District Small Industries Association (CODISSIA) and the Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU), began on Tuesday at the CODISSIA Trade Fair complex
here.
The mela, inaugurated by the State Minister for Agriculture, Mr R. Jeevanandham, is being considered a platform for promoting agri business transactions. About 20 technical seminars on current and emerging areas in agriculture, WTO issues, agricultural p
atenting, TRIPs etc would be held during the fair.
The fair is being supported by the Central and State Governments, the National Horticultural Board and APEDA.
About 250 participants are expected to participate in the fair. -- Our Bureau
