Leather continues to rule firm
THE leather trade adopted a `wait and watch' policy last week on rumours that duty would be imposed on finshed leather exports. Not only that, even on the export front enquiries were lacking due to summer holidays in some European countries. Summer holid ays are set to start from the first week of August in some other countries. Hence, trading in the market was dull. Except for some patchy transactions, generally there was not much movement.
