Pokarna Granites Q1 net profit up at Rs 2.32 cr

HYDERABAD, July 13

POKARNA Granites Ltd has posted a sales turnover of Rs 15.63 crore and net profit of Rs 2.32 crore during the first quarter of the current fiscal.

The company's turnover as well as profit increased when compared to the turnover of Rs 12.62 crore and a net profit of Rs 1.9 crore registered during the corresponding period in the previous year.

According to the unaudited financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2001, the company has incurred an expenditure of Rs 12.12 crore and has provided Rs 78.51 lakhs towards interest charges and Rs 44.47 lakhs for depreciation. It has paid-up equit y share capital of Rs 6.2 crore and reserves and surplus of 19.99 crore.
