CIWTC barges still remain detained at Bangladesh ports
SIX barges and three tugs used for towing the barges, all belonging to the public sector Central Inland Water Transport Corporation (CIWTC), have remained detained at the Bangladesh ports of Khulna and Mongla since the middle of April, thanks to internal problems in that country.

Low productivity at Kochi container terminal daunts shipping community
THE shipping community at Kochi Port has expressed concern over the declining productivity at the container terminal (CT) in the recent period, thereby affecting the export of stuffed containers to various destinations.

LPG transports' strike in TN from July 18
THE bulk LPG transport operators have threatened to go on a nation-wide strike from July 18 if the three PSU oil majors did not reach an agreement on clearing the payment due to the tanker operators before that date.
