`No threat to coir industry from imports'
IMPORT of coir and coir products, following the removal of quantitative restrictions (QRs), is unlikely to threaten the indigenous coir industry. However, cheaper synthetic products from abroad could pose a threat to the coir products in the domestic mar ket.
