MRO-Tek alliance with Lacom Systems
BANGALORE: MRO-Tek, the Bangalore-based networking and last mile access solution provider, has entered into a strategic alliance with Lacom Systems, Korea, for marketing and providing solution to customers.
The Korean company, which develops the laser optical communication system, is also planning to set up a joint venture with its Indian partner in India once the volumes for the product pick up.
MRO-Tek will exclusively market and provide laser optic based communication system and solutions to transmit voice-data and video into free space through a laser beam.
Through this alliance, it will be the fist in the country to provide connectivity through laser beams as carriers.
Mr S. Narayanan, Chairman and Managing Director, said that using laser optical communication system for voice-data and video transmission through laser from one point to another point was termed as the second generation transmission system that can repla
ce microwave or optical cables that had already shown the limit in their capacities.
The laser optical transmission system seems to be the answer to overcome the shortcomings of optical fibre and microwave.
Mr Joo Han Lee, Director, Lacom Systems, said that his company already imparted training to the engineers of MRO-Tek and hopes to ramp up business through its association with MRO. -- Our Bureau
