Commodities
Bullion market sedate
THE bullion market showed unusual behaviour last week with prices barely moving despite events all around. Political uncertainties (US presidential election, the West Asia tension), currency movements particularly euro, stock market changes and higher oi l prices had no impact on gold and silver prices.

Gold: No more glitter
THE start of the millennium has not brought good tidings for gold. The yellow metal has had a bad run this year and seen an unabated fall in price and thus confidence, resulting in a terribly fragile market.
