Ayurveda suffers from disinterest
FOR months she was having a slight fever with the thermometer reading a constant 99.5 degrees. Blood, urine and other tests read normal, leaving the doctor puzzled. He then came up with the diagnosis that the lady could be allergic to cold, morning baths and prescribed a strong dose of doxycycline and cephalosporin before a morning bath on an empty stomach. The dosage need not be taken if the lady missed out on her routine, the doctor added.

Eye drops fail CERC test
LEADING sulphacetamide eye drop, Sulpahcid 20%, which was tested along with four other brands for sterility against specifications of the Indian Pharmacopoeia as also its British and US counterparts, failed the inhouse laboratory tests conducted by the C onsumer Education and Research Society (CERS), Ahmedabad.

Delhi-Vienna flights
