A SHARP decline in pepper prices and the gradual drop in cardamom prices during the current season may hit the farmers, especially small growers who are already facing a financial crisis due to a steep fall in the prices of green tea leaf.

Global pepper exports up 17 pc
PEPPER exports from major origins increased by 17 per cent during the first nine months of the current calendar year following a large increase in shipments from Indonesia and to a lesser extent from Vietnam.
