Info-Tech Intex enters into consumer security software NEW DELHI: IT peripheral maker Intex Technologies (India) on Friday forayed into new business vertical under the banner Intex-Consumer Security Software. The first product in the series to be introduced is INTEX Safe Surf AntiVirus 2011- launched in partnership with leading security software developer PC Tools, said Mr Vikram Kalia, Intex Technologies (India) GM-Product Management (IT Hardware Peripherals & PC). The company plans to launch the INTEX Safe Surf Antivirus 2011 in a phased manner starting from Western India (Maharashtra followed by Gujarat) and to the rest of India by April 2011 through a well—meshed network of distributors and resellers. Intex aims to garner a 50 per cent of its total planned turnover from West region. Maharashtra will have a contribution of 70 per cent of this. – PTI
