Suggestion on Hyderabad Metro

Hyderabad, Jan. 13

The Chairman of Environment Pollution (Protection & Control) Authority (EPCA), Dr Bhure Lal, on Thursday suggested that the Hyderabad Metro Rail project should be integrated with the proposed Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) to provide better transport facilities in the city. Speaking to newspersons after a meeting with officials of APSRTC, Hyderabad Metro Rail (HMR) and Pollution Control Board, Dr Lal said the EPCA would not allow any conflict of interest between the concepts of Metro Rail and BRTS. – Our Bureau
