Events States - Karnataka NMPT observes Safety Week Mangalore, March 11 New Mangalore Port Trust (NMPT) observed the 39th National Safety Week during March 4-10. A press release issued here on Thursday stated that Mr P. Tamilvanan, Chairman, NMPT, who presided over the valedictory function, stressed the importance of safety in port operations. Reiterating the port's commitment to safety, Mr Tamilvanan said he was hopeful of an accident-free year ahead.
