The two-day ‘monthly marketing mela’ of Kudumbasree Mission was inaugurated at the Canara Bank Circle Office here on Friday. The Kudumbasree Mission organises such marketing ‘melas’ every month and the space is provided by Canara Bank free of cost. They provide an opportunity for poor women beneficiaries to sell their products to the public without the interference of middlemen or agents. The major attraction of this month’s market is products sold under the banner of ‘People’, which is the new brand of Kudumbasree. —
