US nod for Aurobindo products

Hyderabad, Nov. 22

Aurobindo Pharma Ltd (APL) has received five product approvals from the US Food & Drug Administration (USFDA) since October 2007 for the US market. These approvals include two Paragraph IV products - Finasterice Tablets USP and Glyburide & Metformin Hydrochloride Tablets. According to the Hyderabad-based APL, the products approved are as follows: Glyburide Tablets USP, Torsemide tablets; Finasteride tablets; Atenolol tablets, and Glyburide and Mefformin Hydrochloride tablets in various dosages. With these approvals the company now has a total of 59 ANDAs (abbreviated new drug approvals )approved by the USFDA. - Our Bureau
