Alliances & Joint Ventures Opulent ties up with HuperOptik for car window film Our Bureau
Talking to presspersons, Mr S. Sathyaprakash, Managing Director, Opulent, and Mr Tan Kian Huat, Director, Business Development, HuperOptik, said the nano-ceramic window film had a scratch-resistant hard coat. The film would be launched in Pune, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi and Ludhiana in about four months, Mr Sathyaprakash said. The new product, compared to the current window films available in the country, would reject more than 99 per cent of ultraviolet rays, 70 per cent solar energy and was 100 per cent dye and metal free. It would be priced between Rs 9,000 and Rs 20,000 per car. From the new product, the company was estimating 40 per cent revenue to total turnover. The company, which had closed last fiscal at Rs 7 crore, was targeting Rs 20 crore for the current fiscal. Mr Tan said research on this product was conducted by the FraunhoferInstitute of Germany, SISR (now under the name of PSB), GlobamatrixHoldings and Southwall Technologies. Mr Sathyaprakash said the targeted segments included automobiles and architecture. Opulent, which has on its client list Mahindra and Mahindra, would be signing an understanding for the application of the film on its vehicles.
