SiRF India, a wholly-owned subsidiary of GPS chipmaker SiRF Technology Holdings, on Monday announced the setting up of a development centre in Bangalore. The company is consolidating its multiple offices into a facility that will seat 200. Built with an investment of $1 million, the centre is expected to `help support aggressive headcount expansion plans' in India, according to Mr Ashutosh Pande, Managing Director. SiRF India employs 120 engineers and is headquartered in Noida.
