INOX Leisure Ltd has posted a 42 per cent growth in revenue during the second quarter of the current fiscal compared with the corresponding quarter of last fiscal. During the three months ended September 30, 2006, the company notched a turnover of Rs 39.96 crore, up from Rs 28.24 crore recorded during the period July-September 2005.

According to a company communiqué, INOX Leisure recorded a profit before tax of Rs 9.47 crore during July-September 2006 against Rs 8.56 crore in the corresponding period of 2005. The profit after tax in July-September 2006 was Rs 6.96 crore compared with Rs 5.64 crore recorded during the period July-September 2005. The communiqué states that the company currently operates a total of 44 screens in 12 multiplexes located in 11 cities across the country.
