Industry Associations Industry & Economy - Foreign Trade ESC signs MoU with Mexico Our Bureau
Speaking on a recent meeting organised by ESC, the Mexican Vice Minister for Small and Medium Enterprises and Minister of Economy, Mr Alejandro Gonzalez, said "Mexico's electronic industry exported $44.8 billion in 2005, accounting for one third of the total exports of the country. Mexico on an average received an investment of $750 million in the IT sector, generating direct employment of six lakhs in over 2100 companies." He added that with the investments of the Indian IT industry in Mexico, the Indian companies will not only be able to tap the expanding market there but strategically position India in the exponentially growing US Hispanic IT market and Latin America.
