Market value of properties set to rise in AP

Our Bureau

Hyderabad , July 31

The market values of properties — both land and buildings are in for a hike by about 10 to 20 per cent effective August 1, due to upward revision of registration charges. The hike will cover all municipalities, corporations and special grade municipalities.

Consequently, the charges applicable for registration will be higher.

This will also pave the way for uniform levy of registration charges in the State. The highest rate of about 20 per cent would be applicable for lands in Hyderabad, Secunderabad and adjoining district of Ranga Reddy, where the land and real estate value has shot up significantly.
