Our Bureau

Bangalore, May 29

Crushing through the stack of monolithic storage offerings, Hitachi Data Systems, a wholly owned subsidiary of Hitachi Ltd, has reinforced its TagmaStore Universal Storage Platform. This includes a 25 per cent boost to overall system performance, delivering 2.5 million input-output operations per second of power. So, with the new platform, critical applications such as Oracle Financials and Microsoft SQL Server will scream at peak velocity, according to the company. The Universal Storage Platform is capable of managing up to 32 petabytes of internal and external storage, logical partitions for the creation of secure Private Virtual Storage Machines, and storage-agnostic remote copy for business continuity measures.
