HR meet to focus on challenges

Manthana-2006 — a two-day seminar on human resource (HR) challenges — began here on Friday. Organised by the social work division of Srinivas Institute of Management Studies here, the seminar aims at educating the participants with the latest challenges in HR field. Inaugurating the seminar, Mr K.M. Lokanath, Chairman and Managing Director of Veera Vahana Udyog Pvt Ltd, Bangalore, said that the country has tremendous potential in the area of human resources. Stating that the country has a good number of young people, he said this factor could be a boon to India's development.

Nearly 300 students from various social work schools are participating in the two-day seminar.
