FAPCCI to form NGO

Our Bureau

HYDERABAD: The Federation of Andhra Pradesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FAPCCI), the 90-year-old chambers representing thousands of businesses in the State, has decided to form a non-governmental organisation (NGO).

The NGO, which is likely to be called `FAPCCI Fund', will provide a common forum for rural development activities. Announcing this here on Thursday, Mr Shyam Sunder Pasari, Chairman of FAPCCI's Rural Development Committee, said the chamber had been giving prominence to rural development.

Seeking funds from Council for Advancement of People's Action and Rural Technologies, he said, FAPCCI would not take commercial activity and generate funds. "We will take help from NGOs, corporates and Government," he said.
