Seagate into retail sales

Our Bureau

NEW DELHI: Seagate Technology has entered the retail segment in India with the launch of three external hard disk drives.

Seagate, which was selling to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and through resellers to PC assemblers, would now look at all the channels available for marketing the products launched on Thursday.

Besides the external hard disk drives, the company also unveiled a compact flash photo hard drive.

"We will market hard disk drives through traditional IT channels and non-IT channels. For flash photo hard drives, we will tap photography channels," Mr Sharad Srivastava, Country Manager for Seagate said.
