CHENNAI: The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organising Beauwell India 2005 - India's first B2B forum on beauty & wellness between March 7 and 10 here.

Beauwell India 2005 will feature a 2-day conference and 4-day exposition, which would showcase and address issues and opportunities to realise India's growth potential in the fast growing beauty, spa, beauty services, cosmetics and wellness segment.

International cosmetics companies have set their sights on exploring business opportunities in the fast growing $950 million beauty & cosmetics markets in India, which are growing nearly 20 per cent annually, says a press release from CII.

The rapid demographic transition, burgeoning demand, rising affluence and more women in the workforce are key drivers for rapid growth. With per capita cosmetics spend of $0.68, the Indian market offers a huge opportunity to International beauty cosmetics companies, for whom markets around the world are saturating, the release says.
