People Dhawan, MD of Oracle India Our Bureau
NEW DELHI: Oracle India Pvt Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Oracle Corporation, on Tuesday announced the appointment of Mr Krishan Dhawan as its new Managing Director, with immediate effect. "Mr Dhawan brings with him more than 25 years of experience in the financial services and IT enabled services sector, having worked with Bank of America for 23 years across Asia Pacific and American markets," Mr Keith Budge, senior Vice-President, Oracle Asia Pacific said in a statement here. Mr Dhawan succeeds Mr Shekhar Dasgupta who would leave Oracle India after the end of May 2005 to pursue a career in academia after having worked with the company for more than 12 years. During this period, Mr Dasgupta would remain with Oracle India as an advisor to the company.
