New Projects Malaysian co sets up RMC plant Our Bureau
Hyderabad , Feb. 1 IJM Corporation Berhad, a construction company from Malaysia, has set up a ready mix concrete (RMC) plant at Bachupally near here. The Rs 3.2-crore plant, with a production capacity of 120 cubic metres per hour of RMC, is set up through IJM's wholly owned subsidiary in India, IJM Concrete Products Private Ltd, the Indian arm of the German Schwing Stetter India Pvt Ltd. Announcing the launch, Mr Mah Teck Oon, Director (Industries Division) of IJM, said there was a huge scope for RMC in India. Besides Hyderabad, the company was looking at cities like Bangalore and Delhi to set up RMC units. Mr Ng Chin Meng, Director of IJM India, said the company had submitted prequalification for some irrigation projects in Andhra Pradesh. It has also bid for the construction work of the proposed international airport in Hyderabad. The company, which executed infrastructure projects like Mumbai-Pune Expressway and Tada-Nellore National Highway 5, also plans to roll out other activities like quarrying. It said it had commercial and infrastructural works to the tune of Rs 1,000 on its hand.
