Nabard's refinance scheme for Kerala co-op bank

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Regional Office of Nabard here on Monday released schematic refinance to the tune of Rs 15.29 crore to the Kerala State Cooperative Agricultural and Rural Credit Bank (KSCARDB).

An official spokesman said here that, of this, Rs 9.47 crore was directed to the rural housing sector while the rest would go into various non-farm sector activities, including road transport operators. The applicable rates of interest ranged from 5.5 per cent to 6.5 per cent per annum.

So far during this financial year, Nabard has released schematic refinance aggregating to Rs 102.78 crore to various agencies in the State. This includes Rs 57.33 crore advanced to the apex Kerala State Cooperative Bank (KSCB), Rs 29.51 crore to the two Regional Rural Banks (RRBs) in the State and Rs 0.64 crore to commercial banks.
