Opinion - Letters

Indian media

This is with reference to "Innovation is India's strength" (Business Line, March 25).

The subject matter and the statistics quoted in support of new-found confidence of India Inc. made an inspired and delightful reading. Mr Arun Shourie's dwelling at length on the role and responsibilities of the journalists in quality reporting, his advice to concentrate on the positive and creative aspects of life and business and his disappointment in the falling standards and narrow scope of journalistic reporting reveals the respect, appreciation and fear on the power of the media in educating and shaping the public opinion.
