Mosquito control drive at Kochi

KOCHI: The health authorities of the Kochi Corporation released guppy fishes to various drains of the 55th division of the Corporation as part of an integrated mosquito control programme.

The authorities have also started spraying of bio larvicides. The civic authorities have released Rs 10,000 each to all the divisions for cleaning small drains in the division. An additional fund of Rs 15,000 will soon be released. The civic authorities also sought the co-operation of the general public by abstaining from throwing waste into the drains.
