CHENNAI: Hyundai Motor India Ltd on Friday said that it sold 13,033 units in July, a 42 per cent year-on-year growth.

Sales of the flagship Santro grew 29 per cent, from 7,666 units to 9,891 units, while Accent sales more than doubled to 3,039 units from 1,384 units. Sonata sales slowed down from 121 units to 103 units, according to a press release. The release quoted Mr J.I. Kim, Managing Director, HMIL, as saying that ``with our export orders surging, we are being forced to maintain a delicate balance between domestic demand and exports, given our production capacity limitations.''
