Campaign to promote Australia

Our Bureau

NEW DELHI, July 3

SINGAPORE Airlines (SIA) and the Australian Tourism Board (ATC) have launched a new regional promotion campaign aimed at increasing tourist arrivals to Australia.

The promotion `Enjoy Australia with Singapore Airlines' targets visitors from South-East Asia, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, India and China. The promotion offers customers the chance to visit Australia at special fare tickets, which go on sale this month. The campaign will be publicised primarily through promotional television spots on the Discovery Channel and the online publicity on the MSN network. The promotion is expected to reach about 90 million consumers.

Besides, there will also be an online quiz on Australia that can be found on australia.singaporeair.com with participants having a chance to win SIA business class air tickets to any of the destinations in Australia to which the airline operates.
