Anti-dumping Dumping duty mooted on potassium dane salt imports Our Bureau
NEW DELHI, July 3 THE Designated Authority in the Commerce Ministry has recommended imposition of definitive anti-dumping duty on import of D(-) para hydroxy phenyl glycine methyl potassium dane salt (PHPG) originating in or exported from China and Singapore. In its recent notification, the authority held that the subject goods have been exported to India from China and Singapore below their normal value and as a result the domestic industry had suffered material injury and is facing material retardation in the establishment of new industry to manufacture subject goods. The material injury and material retardation is on account of dumped imports, the authority held in its final findings. Accordingly, it has recommended definitive anti-dumping duty on the imported subject goods and in the case of China, the recommended definitive anti-dumping levy is the difference between $16.16 per kg if the import is from Hengdian Group Jiayuan Chemicals Co Ltd and all other producers/exporters from China and the landed value of imports per kg. For imported subject goods from Singapore, the proposed definitive anti-dumping duty is the difference between $13.51 per kg if the import is from Kaneka Singapore Corporation, Singapore and other producers/exporters from Singapore and the landed value of per kg.
