AP: Service tax raised to 8 pc

HYDERABAD: The service tax tariff has been enhanced from 5 per cent to 8 per cent with effect from May 14, according to the Commissionerate of Customs and Excise.

Service providers have been advised to collect service tax at 8 per cent on all the services rendered by them and accordingly remit them.
