Honour for aviation expert

BANGALORE: The HAL Chairman, Mr N.R. Mohanty, felicitated Wg Cdr (retd), P. Ashoka, on his completion of 50 years of flying from 1952 to 2002.

Wg Cdr Ashoka has put in a total of 7,900 hours and has flown 90 different types of fixed wing aircraft. "As a test pilot extraordinary and a thorough aviation professional, his outstanding work has contributed significantly in the areas of flight testing of Indian aviation," said a HAL press release.
