NEW DELHI, Dec. 1

A FIRST of its kind industrial forum for co-ordination and interaction among rubber organisations of Asian Countries has been established under the banner of `Asian Rubber Forum'.

The forum, which will have representatives from most of the participating countries of the Asia Rub Tech 2002, will provide a focal point for exchange of information, technology and education on the rubber industry.

It would be a critical platform to discuss various issues relating to the natural rubber industry.

Considering that 42 per cent of world rubber consumption is in Asia-Pacific region, industry officials who participated at Asia Rub Tech 2002 said the establishment of such a forum has become relevant.
