Telecommunications Tata Teleservices' phone-tastic offer Our Bureau
HYDERABAD: Tata Teleservices Ltd, the private telecom services operator in Andhra Pradesh, has announced a festival scheme - Phone-tastic offer - for all new landline (wireline) customers across all the cities the company operates currently. Under this offer, every new customer, who applies for a landline telephone up to December 16,2002, will get a scratch card on installation of the phone. Each card ensures a prize ranging from a 21-inch colour TV, washing machine, VCD player, vacuum cleaner and host of other prizes, according to a Tata communiqué. The Chief Operating Officer of Tata Teleservices, Mr Sandeep Mathur, said, "we have had excellent feedback from our customers on the quality of our wireline connections, particularly on their Internet experience. Our focus on wireline connections continues and this offer is a reaffirmation of the same." Tata Teleservices, which currently has presence in about 10 major cities, has over 2.13 lakh customers. It operates about 5,000 phone booths and has recently completed over 1000 installations of village public telephones.
