Mr Ram Kumar, Trifin Technologies, with Ms Tanya Lux, Product Specialist, Corel Pty Ltd, at a press conference in the Capital on Monday.
NEW DELHI, Oct. 28 CANADIAN software maker, Corel Pty Ltd, said it has signed a distribution agreement with Trifin Technologies to strengthen its operations in India. Corel said it partnered with Trifin because of its strong relationships with the Desktop publishing, Web and animation market segments along with its valuable relationships with channel partners across the country. In the short term, Trifin will try to boost the business of the Coral Draw software. In the next level, the company would focus on driving WordPerfect sales as well establishing channels for the Corel Procreate range of products, company officials said here at a press conference. ``India and Asia particularly suffer from high rates of piracy which sees some companies unknowingly using illegal software,'' said Mr Gavin Watson, Director Asia Pacific, Corel Pty Ltd. ``This initiative between Corel and Trifin Technologies will educate local businesses that it's not in their interests to use pirated software, while at the same time ensuring businesses have easier access to legal software,'' Mr Watson said.
