Unclean temples

In the write-up "Tirumala not alone"(Business Line, October 14), the author has pointed out that, besides Tirumala, there are many other temples which are dirty.

It has taken so many years for the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister, Mr Chandrababu Naidu, to know about the unhygienic conditions in the Tirumala temple. And it is not only the temples that are dirty.

What about the hundreds of government hospitals left in unsanitary conditions and without facilities? How long can the Governments close their eyes or pretend as if they are not aware of the problem? The time has come to act.
